The Background: The original version, SM1 was written in 1983. Each successive version has been a complete rewrite with more power and functionality. It is also the springboard for many of our custom programming projects for publishers and non publishers .

SUB4 Subscription Fulfillment with a full front end Contact Sales System. Direct Integration with Word Processing, MS Outlook/E-mail and Accounting.
The Background: When the Metropolitan Museum of Art wanted a circulation fulfillment package to manage the magazine subscriptions of their members, we took the front end of SM4 and re did the backend to their specifications.
CATS Competitive Ad Tracking System. This software is the same front end as SM4, but with enhanced ad entry and share of market reporting.
The Background: In 1984 we wrote a custom competitive ad tracking system for Advertising Age, that tracked 25 publications. We then wrote another custom system for Miller Freeman. Finally, we wrote a third custom system in Windows for a tracking service for medical publications, Analytical Research. We finally decided to put together a stock version as well.
RD4 Route Distribution System for bulk deliveries. This system is fully embedded into Accounts Receivables. Allows for bulk processes, including invoicing, invoice adjustments and apply payments.
The Background: One of our SM4 clients, Louisiana Publishing, came back to us with a request for a Route Delivery System that also did billing and accounts receivable. Here we tapped our experience with modifying accounting software and wrote the above system inside an accounting package.
DP4 Directory Publisher allows you to create a multi tiered directory with unlimited organizations, people, titles and comments. Exports directly into MS Word(R).
The Background: The Archdiocese of Brooklyn, NY queried us on developing a system that would reduce months it took to update its annual directory, to something more manageable. Once again, we went back to SM4 (our flagship product) and rewrote parts of it to provide their program.
BP4 Book Publishing prospecting, sales and inventory. This system also allows for review copies to be sent in advance of sales.
The Background: The Millbrook Press needed SM4, but they were selling books to distributors, not advertising space. We removed the Advertising screens from SM4 and replaced them with screens and reports suitable for book sales.
All the above, except CATS and BP4, integrate with Visual Accountmate® accounting software or may have data exported for your system.
Other custom software over the years has included projects for The Millbrook Press (book publishers), Advertising Age, Miller Freeman (magazine publisher) and Analytical Research (competitive ad tracking service).
